They use discretion and judgement to provide client services and take responsibility for the outcomes of their own work.

Fulfil your dream of becoming a hairdresser by completing this entry level qualification for the hairdressing industry.
Upon completion students will be competent in:
- the full range of hairdressing skills including designing, cutting and colouring
- a high level of communication skills
- consulting and advising clients
- promoting products and services
To successfully qualify for the SHB30416 Certificate III in Hairdressing qualification, participants must successfully complete a total of twenty-eight (28) units of competency, comprising of:
- twenty-one (21) core units;
- seven (7) elective units, consisting of:
- all three (3) units from Group A or all three (3) units from Group B;
- four (4) units from Group C.

Workplace Health & Safety
Your health and wellbeing during your study with Victoria Polytechnic is of the highest importance to us.
