    Study Tours

    Victoria Polytechnic offers early childhood students the opportunity to travel overseas to extend on their skills and knowledge of the Early Childhood industry.  Previous study tours to both Vietnam and Singapore have been an exciting time for a select group of students.

      VUSafe

      VUSafe is the free, official mobile safety app of Victoria University.

      VUSafe features an emergency silent alarm to alert Campus Security for immediate assistance, safety notifications, request first aid or a security escort, track the VU shuttle bus, start a virtual safe walk, report a tip, campus maps, emergency plans, as well as information and contacts for support services on and off campus. VUSafe brings safety, security and support services at Victoria University to your fingertips.

      Industry Inteligence

      Diploma of Early Childhood Early Childhood & Care - This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

      They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other staff.

      Under the Education and Care Services National Law (2011) the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) publishes lists of approved early childhood education and care qualifications and information regarding regulatory requirements here: www.acecqa.gov.au

      Certificate IV in Education Support - This qualification reflects the role of Education Support Officers in a range of education settings including: public and independent schools; and community based educational settings. Education Support Officers provide assistance and support to teachers and students with additional needs under broad-based supervision. Some job roles may require tasks to be performed with a moderate level of autonomy and/or the provision of supervision/leadership to other staff/volunteers.
